Promotional items are an important part of any company marketing plan. Depending on the type of business conducted, there are an almost infinite variety of promotional items available. From apparel to toys, there seems to be something for everyone. A company wanting more repeat business or trying to attract new business would use promotional items with a clear logo and enough information to keep that business in a clients mind. These items might be used in dozens of different giveaways and the value of having an everyday item imprinted with a business logo has been a well proven promotional tool.

Promotional pens come in a huge variety of styles. There are markers, high lighters, ordinary capped pens, retractable pens, mechanical pencils and high quality pen sets. In addition there are lighted pens. One type of lighted pen is a pen that is also a flashlight or a laser pointer. These may also be in combination with a light-up pen, a stylus or some other useful item. Another type is actually a light up pen where some part of the pen is clear or translucent and a light is triggered by clicking or twisting the pen. While a lighted pen may be useful at night, it also highlights a company logo very well. Most people like to get something for nothing and being a bit out of the ordinary a light-up pen can be an effective promotional tool. When a lighted pen is given out it tends to last longer in use than an ordinary pen, and if it has extra batteries, it will last even longer. The novelty of the light however it is used in the promotional pen adds to the effectiveness of any advertising applied.

The LED light is used in many different ways. There are retractable ball point pens with translucent barrels that can be lit in several different colors. There are light pens with tops in different shapes such as stars, globes and smiley faces. There are pens that are clear plastic and allow more than one color to shine through with a simple click or twist. Some pens have metal barrels and a top that is frosted or translucent. A logo can be placed either on the metal or on the lighted area or even in both areas. There are pens that produce a rainbow of colors, or several colors in succession. There is a LED ball point twist pen. One click on top puts light through one of the translucent colored barrels. There are twelve barrel and light combinations to choose from and the pen comes with a presentation case. Light-up promotional pens are an excellent method to get a company noticed.
